Who I work with

Therapy for Children & Teens

Children and teenagers don’t always have the words—or the desire—to explain what’s troubling them. Sometimes difficulties show up through behavior, relationships, school, mood, withdrawal, or conflict at home. Therapy offers a place for young people to be understood in their own terms, while giving parents and caregivers a better understanding of what may be happening beneath the surface.

My work with children and adolescents is attentive to their developmental stage, personality, relationships, and the world around them. I draw on specialized training in child and adolescent psychotherapy alongside my broader clinical experience, adapting the work to the individual rather than expecting a child or teenager to fit a particular model.

Depending on the circumstances, therapy may involve time with the young person individually, conversations with parents, or work with the family. The goal is to create a relationship in which a young person can feel understood, develop greater confidence in navigating difficult experiences, and find new ways of relating to themselves and others.

A child with a pink bow in her hair, wearing a dark coat with a faux fur collar, stands with her back to the camera behind a tree. She has a colorful backpack with doodle-like designs, including smiley faces, peace signs, and the word 'LOVE'. The scene is outdoors with string lights and a blurred background of shops or stalls.
